Phil and Marion were both born in Glasgow and are avid fans of folk music. The name 'Philmari' which they feel has a 'Celtic' ring, is derived from their combined names. Both became interested in music at an early age, living in the same suburban area of Glasgow. They recently performed on the open stage at the annual Loch Lomond Folk Festival in Balloch, on the shores of Loch Lomond. They now live in a picturesque village on the banks of Loch Lomond, performing together on a regular basis at a variety of locations. Marion has grown up in a family with a strong Irish, Donegal influence and is very proud of her heritage. Phil's family are from Glasgow and he is very proud of his Scottish heritage. They have voices which blend together and Marion has always loved to sing harmony, which she does naturally. 'Philmari' hope that you enjoy their music. Their wish is to give back some of the enjoyment shared in their mutual love of 'Celtic music' and all influences that have brought them to this place and time...

'This love of music we have found, suspends both time and place, To take a sup and drink this wine, gives each of us the space, A fleeting glance, a memory lost, with music can return...Our deep desire to capture life, our warmth within can burn.'
